In Germany at Nierstein Rheinhessen we found Weingut Leonhard in the summer of 2004 - a small producer with just 10 ha. vineyards.
He produces some fantastic lovely white wines plus a light and soft red wine. Both Riesling Kabinett and Grauer Burgunder, the two white wines we'd selected, have achieved Silberne Kammerpreismünze. The red Spätburgunder is far more powerful than most German red wines and holds 13% vol.
